Nadja & Troum Collaboration Makes It to Vinyl Release

YES! So, another new Nadja record coming out this year; this time they collaborate with Troum (whom I recently discovered this year) on a full length. I really enjoy this album and was hoping that it would eventually see a release of the vinyl persuasion, and now via the great Denovali Records, this is becoming a reality.

Here we have a "dreamlike liaison". When the esteemed Canadian "avant metal / drone doom"-duo NADJA (for whom TROUM as one of their early influences) and the German post-industrial / experimental drone pioneers TROUM (years ago active as MAEROR TRI who are still being discovered by many drone-fans these days) combine their exceptional styles, they form something more vast than their parts. These three collaborative tracks are the result of aspontaneous improvisation in April 2008, "live in the studio" near the Weser-river in Bremen, Germany. The songs' powerful and emotional drone melancholy work in many micro-and-macrocosmic ways, using electric & acoustic guitars, bass, accordion, drum machine & voice. After the excellent collaboration record with PYRAMIDS another masterpiece from NADJA.
