Mamiffer, House Of Low Culture , and Merzbow...

...Together on one release... amazing. Sige Records will be releasing a 2xLP version of this in April or so, while Daymare will be releasing the CD / DVD version of this around the same time. The artwork above and below is for the Daymare release.

This is from Aaron Turner's blog:

This music on this album is a live recording from Tokyo in March of 2010. The players on the recording are: Faith Coloccia, Aaron Turner, Masami Akita and Atsuo. Included are tracks by the individual acts as well as full collaborative pieces including all four musicians

Should be a nice release as Sige really has been releasing some nice releases so far.

Speaking of Mamiffer and Sige, if you follow the link, you can hear a snippet of music from their upcoming album, Mare Descendrii.

New Pale Sketcher EP Up for Preorder

So Pale Sketcher (one of a slew of Justin Broadrick projects that includes a reunited GODFLESH, jesu, GREYMACHINE, and who knows what else besides remixing just about everyone) is releasing Seventh Heaven (pictured above), an EP, that pushes the Pale Sketcher sound into new territory. The EP is supposed to be more rhythmic and less drone-y than the debut LP, Pale Sketches Demixed (pictured below and sold out through the label, Ghostly International).

The Vinyl version of Seventh Heaven is available now for order here.

It is on Grey Swirl vinyl and is limited to just 500 copies... a drop in the bucket in Broadrick land, so do not sleep on this if it appeals to you inn any way.

Gridlink Vinyl? Finally?

Gridlink on vinyl? I have been waiting for this day ever since the first album, Amber Grey, first was announced on CD. The best part of this record is that it includes not only a digital download for everything on the record including Karaoke files for the other side of the vinyl, which so happens to be the new album from Gridlink, Orphan.

The CD version of Orphan is limited to 300 copies apparently, and the CD for Amber Grey is still available.

Pre-orders for Orphan and the Orphan / Amber Grey LP are up here

The LPs are limited to 500 so do not sleep on this.

For those that do not know, Gridlink features members of Discordance Axis (my personal favorite grind band ever), Haiyano Daisuki, Mortalized, Human Remains, Burnt By The Sun, etc. This album will quite possibly be the best Grind album of the year. So get it now.

More Light Bearer Pre-orders

Here is the import one sided LP, Beyond the Infinite, The Assembly of God from Light Bearer that I spoke of earlier. This record is limited to 500 copies total.

Euros can definitely order this sucker here

US people, Halo of Flies might be getting some, so you might want to head here and beg them to get you one (and pre-order the Light Bearer double LP while you are at it) or else import it from the link above for an exorbitant amount.

After reading more about Light Bearer, this is more exciting as they too (much like Fall of Efrafa with Watership Down) are concept based, around Bill Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy. This should be awesome.

Head over to Light Bearer's Myspace page and check out some tunes in the meantime.

Great Falls Looks To Be Busy

Great Falls looks to have one hell of a busy year ahead of them with several splits and collaborations and a full length due on top of the recently released split with Pastor Tonal (artwork pictured below and featuring the vocalizations of Ryan from Trap Them on the Great Falls tracks) and the collaboration with Kenji Siratori (artwork above).

One of the best aspects of Great Falls so far has been their unwillingness to be pigeon-holed to a single sonic motif while still sounding like themselves while punishing listeners at every turn. Both of these records (actually a tape and a CD) are crushing and an absolute must hear for people that love to rake their ears with harsh noise.

Order the latest two releases here from Dead Accents.

Light Bearer Pre-orders Are Up

Halo Of Flies has a big announcement... Pre-orders are up for Light Bearer's first album, Lapsus

LIGHT BEARER is a concept band from the south east of England. Bringing together long standing friends and new allies in an attempt to create a musical project, mixing their love of ambient post rock, post metal, beats, noise and experimental soundscapes. The concept itself borrows from The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, Paradise Lost by John Milton and The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri For Fans of Envy, Sigur Ros, Aphex Twin, Mouth Of The Architect, 65 Days Of Static, Neurosis!

One dirty secret here... Lapsus is the new band for Fall of Efrafa ' s singer!

They also have a 12" EP due out over seas that Halo Of Flies will probably be getting as well.

Pre-order here on one of four colors

Black (unknown Pressing QTY)
Grey / Black Splatter (of 100)
Marine Green (of 100)
Grey / Blue (of 100)

Europeans order here

Wayne's World Is Back???

Whoa childhood memories

Gholas News

Big News: Soon, Dög Knights Productiöns will launch vinyl preorders for a five way split featuring Life in the Dark (Z. Zsigo of Maths, Livimorket and probably a billion others), It Is Imperative, Black Day Architecture, and Us. The comp has an alternative/extended take of "From Hundreds of Millions of Miles" from Загадка. Get Stoked.

The record is called Dans L'isolement Solidaires and we could not be more excited to be a part of this record. Go here to hear some of the tracks (however our track is not really the track that will be on the album as bandcamp could not deal with the epic outrageousness of Gholas.

Hopefully, we will have some of these stateside for people here. We will keep you updated either way.

Music Ruins Lives Keeping The Momentum Going

After an intense kick off to their existence, The Music Ruins Lives folks are continuing their furious activity with a slew of upcoming releases, beginning with their most recent, Planning For Burial's Untitled record (which may not be available for much longer).

On February 8th, the label has two more new releases that will go up for pre-order (with a release in March sometime).

First up is a limited cassette release from Bad Braids for the album Arrow And Orb, which you can check out here.

Next up will be the CD version of Mothhunting from Tom Vourtsis, which you can check out here.

Both releases are going to be excellent so keep an eye out as these do go fast. MRL has still more awesome releases to be officially announced, but trust me... they will knock your socks off.
