Hydra Head is finally re-releasing Sovereign from Neurosis for this year's Record Store Day. No more paying collector's prices if you jump on it when it is released. This version will be limited to 600 or so copies according to the record store day flyer.

Young Widows Activity

The new Young Widows album is imminent. Brought to us again by Temporary Residence, In And Out Of Youth And Lightness is nine tracks of a new Young Widows... darker, moodier, and sure to knock you on your ass, this LP is due out soon (preorder here) with 300 being on Opaque Red.

The Crystal World On LP!

Locrian's The Crystal World is finally seeing a vinyl release via an LP package in Stoughton sleeve from the always quality establishment that is Utech (it is also limited to 500).

This album is my #2 record from all of last year and you can be damn sure that I will be purchasing this album as soon as it goes up for sale. Which is now

Coliseum Odds and Ends Coming Soon

Coliseum will be having a slew of releases (well two splits) coming out shortly. The first (pictured above) is their Misfits split cover 7" with Superchunk. Coliseum is doing Bullet (download there) and Superchunk does Horror Business (though it can't match the original nor Deadguy's cover). The 7" is limited to 2000 copies on three colors variants (Yellow, Magenta, and Black).






























The second upcoming release is a split Live album with Burning Love limited to 1000 copies on vinyl (through Sound Study Recordings) and a 1000 on CD (through Tee Pee).

Speaking of Sequences

Hot on the heels of their split with Isolated Existence pre-order on Music Ruins Lives and their appearance on the Life In The Dark 2xCD (also on MRL) with a Remix, Sequences is also about to drop a 2xCS collaboration / split with Livimorket on Sunyata. This is limited to 30 copies and the pre-order is still live.

HOUR long collaborative track, split over 4 sides. Utter blackness, no hope, no future, only slowly rising, ever depressing drone. Livimørket - guitar, looping. Sequences - drones, noise.

2 labelled cassettes, 12 page mini "zine" style booklet containing distorted imagery and words + a hand-written scrap ripped from personal diary entries, each one unique. Housed within a rough, handmade custom paper sleeve with pasted on artwork, numbered on the back.
