First up is the MRL version of Hushed Bloom from Life In The Dark (it was previously available via Sunyata in a long sold out tape form). I can say without impunity that this is an awesome record and you need it.

Life In The Dark's music is just too great to disappear on extremely limited cassettes. Originally released by Sunyata Recordings earlier this summer. Zen was kind enough to provide us with an exclusive track just for this release.

Cremation Lily Cassette Number 2

Cremation Lily (a project by Zen Zsigo of Life In The Dark, Livimorket, and Maths) now has their second cassette up for order in the Strange Rules store. The first marks the middle ground between the slowcore influence of "The Sunya Is Rising" and the Lovesliescrushing-worship of the recent 5-band split LP. Keyboard, synth, drum machine & voice.

The second is an extended ambient piece. Early Emeralds or Kevin Drumm drone works are a loose estimation, but this conveys a much different message. Depth, texture, synth, noise, death.

No gimmicks, no band members, no virtue, no happiness.

Music Ruins Lives Continues Its Assault

Two more releases just went up for pre-order from the fine folks at Music Ruins Lives.

First up, the Sequences and Isolated Existence Split CD, Graminaea/Poaceae. This release was previously a cassette release and is now getting the CD treatment with a bonus track that is a collaborative work between both artists. Check out the Sequences track here.
























Next up is the equally excellent Life In The Dark release. This 2xCD compiles the awesome The Sunya Is Rising EP (streamable here) with bonus remixes from Planning For Burial, Greys, Sequences, and Njiijn as well as the extremely limited (13 copies) Limbs In Gloom EP.

GHOLAS split up for pre-order

The pre-order for the Dans L’isolement Solidaires 5 way split LP has been live for a few weeks. It is a British label so keep that in mind when ordering, though I will say that even though you are importing the LP, you will pay in US dollars or what have you around the same amount as a domestic Hydra Head release ( which is crazy actually).
